Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

First we have to found all the clothes that the manufacturer produces in 8 hours,

As given 120 clothes = produce in 1 hour

                  X clothes  = produce in 8 hour

By cross multiplication, we get

X= 120*8

X= 960 total clothes produced in 8 hours

As also given that in each hour 5 clothes damaged ,so we can write as

5 clothes = damaged in 1 hour

Y clothes = Damaged in 8 hour

By cross multiplication we get

Y=  40 clothes damaged in 8 hour

So the total clothes that manufacturer produce with out damage clothe will be ,

Total normal clothes = X-Y   = 960 - 40  = 920 clothes

Leto [7]

Answer:

The 95% confidence interval obtained with a sample size of 64 will give greater precision.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the following in the question:

A 95% confidence interval is calculated with the following sample sizes

n_1 = 25\\n_2 = 64

The population mean and standard deviation are unknown.

Effect of sample size on confidence interval:

  • As the sample size increases the margin of error decreases.
  • As the margin of error decreases the width of the confidence level decreases.
  • Thus, with increased sample size the width of confidence level decreases.

If we want a confidence interval with greater precision that is smaller width, we have to choose the higher sample size.

Thus, the 95% confidence interval obtained with a sample size of 64 will give greater precision.

What is the area of the parllelogtam shown below
Umnica [9.8K]

Answer: 16 square units

Let x be the height of the parallelogram. Right now it's unknown, but we can solve for it using the pythagorean theorem. Focus on the right triangle. It has legs a = 3 and b = x, with hypotenuse c = 5

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

3^2 + x^2 = 5^2

9 + x^2 = 25

x^2 = 25-9

x^2 = 16

x = sqrt(16)

x = 4

This is a 3-4-5 right triangle.

The height of the parallelogram is 4 units.

We have enough info to find the area of the parallelogram

Area of parallelogram = base*height

Area of parallelogram = 4*4

Area of parallelogram = 16 square units

Coincidentally, the base and height are the same, which isn't always going to be the case. The base is visually shown as the '4' in the diagram. The height is the dashed line, which also happens to be 4 units long.
