The United States Capitol also called Capital Building, is the meeting place of the Congressmen and the seat of the legislative branch of the U.S. federal government. The House and Senate or collectively congress make the legislative branch;

The legislative branch can also the executive branch by approving or disproving Presidential nominations and remove the president from office. The Judicial branch is checked by being able to impeach Supreme Court Justices by the legislative branch.
