The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, or the Nazi-Soviet Pact made peace between Nazi Germany and the USSR. It was an uneasy peace, but it allowed the Soviets and Nazis to split Poland. This pact kept the war going in the Axis favor for a while. But when Germany invaded Russia, then the USSR declared war for breaking the pact
