Answer: $ 21,750

Explanation:

Given: Hourly wages:

For ticket seller = $10

For cleaning person = $7.50

For usher = $8.50

Average hours = 50 per month

Wages per month= (Hourly wages) x (Average hours per month):

For ticket seller = $10 x 50 = $500

For cleaning person = $7.50x 50 = $375

For usher = $8.50x 50 = $425

Since, Number of ticket sellers =12, Number of  cleaning persons = 25, and Number of ushers = 15.

Monthly salary for staff = 12 x ($500) + 25 x ($375) + 15x ($425)

= $ (6000+9375+6375)

=$ 21,750

Thus, Monthly salary for staff =$ 21,750

bezimeni [28]

Answer:

1. 20%

2. 25.20%

3. 24.00%

Explanation:

1. The computation of return on investment is shown below:-

Return on investment = Operating income ÷ Average operating assets

= $70,000 ÷ $350,000

= 20%

2. The computation of return on investment (ROI) is shown below:-

Return on investment = Operating income ÷ Average operating assets

= ($70,000 + $18,200) ÷ $350,000

= $88,200 ÷ $350,000

= 25.20%

3. The computation of return on investment (ROI) is shown below:-

Return on investment = Operating income ÷ Average operating assets

= ($70,000 + $14,000) ÷ $350,000

= $84,000 ÷ $350,000

= 24.00%

So, we have applied the above formula.

tangare [24]

Answer:

42.5%

Explanation:

The computation of the inflation rate between 2012 and 2011 is shown below:

But before that we need to do the following calculations

Cost of basket for the year 2011 is

= 5 × 2 + 20 × 0.5

= 10 + 10

= 20

And the base year price index i.e. CPI is 100

Now

Cost of same basket in year 2012 is

= 5 × 2.10 + 20 × 0.90

= 10.5 + 18

= 28.5

Now

CPI in 2012 is

= ($28.5 ÷ $20) × 100

= 142.5

So,

Inflation rate is

= (142.5 ÷ 100) - 1

= 1.425 - 1

= 0.425

= 42.5%

Your grandmother asks for your help in choosing a certificate of deposit (CD) from a bank with a one-year maturity and a fixed
CaHeK987 [17]

Answer:

1.97% and 2.01%

Explanation:

The computation of the effective annual rate is shown below:-

Effective annual rate = (1 + Annual percentage rate ÷ n)^n -1

For CD 1

= (1 + 0.0195 ÷ 12)^12 - 1

= (1 + 0.001625 )^12 - 1

= (1.001625 )^12 - 1

= 1.97%

For CD 2

= (1 + 0.02 ÷ 2)^2 - 1

= (1 + 0.01 )^2 - 1

= (1.01)^2 - 1

= 2.01%

CD 2 will recommend to the grandmother
