Answer:

Life at this time was by no means easy, or even sometimes pleasant, but people knew – or thought they knew – how the world worked and how to live in it; the plague would change all that and usher in a new understanding which found expression in movements such as the Protestant Reformation and the Renaissance.

m_a_m_a [10]
Fun fact: the Cuban Missile Crisis almost sparked another World War, which would result in America becoming a different country than it is today. Heck, we wouldn't even exist.

Anyways, here are some facts of the Cuban Missile Crisis:
-Fidel Castro assumes power in Cuba
-Cuba aligns with the Soviet Union
-US terminates diplomatic relations with Cuba
-Bay of Pigs invasion fails resulting in a bad image of President JFK.
-Missile Sites were photographed in Cuba, and the crisis ends with US and the Soviet Union making a pact to remove missile bases in Turkey and Cuba.

How did the development of the slave trade in West Africa impact the African economy
emmasim [6.3K]

Answer:

The Atlantic slave trade had a negative impact on African societies and the long-term impoverishment of West Africa. For some it intensified effects already present among its rulers and kingdoms.

Explanation:

The use of African slave labour was not new. The Spanish and Portuguese had been using African slaves since the 16th century. However, the Atlantic slave trade of the 18th century was a new kind of slavery and was on a scale much greater than ever before.

The implications of the slave trade included:

Effects of the trade on African societies in West Africa

The slave sellers and European ‘factories’ on the West African coast

The development of slave-based states and economies

The destruction of societies

The development of foreign colonies

Leaders of African societies took roles in continuing the trade
