The greatest common factor of two numbers, one of which is 1, will always be 1.

If the numbers are prime then the only factors are the numbers and 1.
For example - the factors of 5 are 1 and 5 and the factors of 7 are 1 and 7 so they only share the number 1.  That is the GCF of 5 and 7.

What is the value of -4° + (5-2)(-6)?
34kurt

Answer:

-22

Step-by-step explanation:

Due to order of operations rules, we must perform the subtraction inside parentheses first, getting:

-4 +(3)(-6)

Multiplication comes next:

-4 - 18

and the total value is thus -22.

What would be the value of 150 after eight years if you earn 12 percent interest per year
Monica [59]
The answer depends on what type of interest. If you are using compound interest, then the interest is different every year, as the amount you earn goes up because the amount you have in the bank goes up. Simple interest is the opposite, as you earn one amount each year, and it does not change.
So.....
Simple Interest:
0.12 * 150 = 18
18 * 8 = 144
144 + 150 = $294
Compound Interest:
150(1 + 0.12)^8
150 * 1.12^8
150 * 2.475 = $371

What property does the statement show? (4x8)x3=(8x4)x3
8090 [49]
Why not? Because every math system you've ever worked with has obeyed these properties! You have never dealt with a system where a×b did not in fact equal b×a, for instance, or where (a×b)×c did not equal a×(b×c). Which is why the properties probably seem somewhat pointless to you. Don't worry about their "relevance" for now; just make sure you can keep the properties straight so you can pass the next test. The lesson below explains how I kept track of the properties.

3y2+y3+−5+4y2+−4y+2y3+8

Combine Like Terms:

=3y2+y3+−5+4y2+−4y+2y3+8
