Positive Results: The U.S, when United focused its efforts expanding westward, Slavery was abolished, America was united once more.

Negative results: The U.S soon adopted segregation laws that where in the south and the north, America expanded westward while pushing natives off their land and killing those who did not comply, Abraham Lincoln was assassinated throwing the leadership of the country into a whirl wind of pro and con slave supporters.
