Answer:

apples: 6/8 = $0.75 per apple

pears: 1.25/1 = $1.25 per pear

peaches: 1.50/1 = $1.50 per peach

bananas: 4/6 = $0.67 per banana

"price per unit" means that you want to find out how much a single one of the product costs. you figure it out by dividing the price by how many there are.

Step-by-step explanation:

I hope this helps :)

You really only have to do 1 and 4;

1; you basically just do 6/8 then thats the price per apples

2; is just 1.25

3; is just 1.50

4; is dividing 4/6

There are 15 female performers in a dance recital. The ratio of men to women is 2:3. How many men are in the dance recital?
andre [41]
If 3 represents women, then we divide 15 by 3 to get 5. once we have 5, we must then multiply 2 and 5. once that is done we have 10. So the number of men in the dance recital is 10.

Hope this answer helps! feel free to ask any additional questions :)

Rudiy27

Answer: hello your question lacks some data hence I will be making an assumption to help resolve the problem within the scope of the question

answer:

≈ 95 units ( output level )

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data :

P = 2000 - Q/10

TC = 2Q^2 + 10Q + 200 ( assumed value )

<u>The output level where a purely monopolistic market will maximize profit</u>

<u>at MR = MC </u>

P = 2000 - Q/10 ------ ( 1 )

PQ = 2000Q - Q^2 / 10 ( aka TR )

MR = d (TR ) / dQ = 2000 - 2Q/10 = 2000 - Q/5

TC = 2Q^2 + 10Q + 200 ---- ( 2 )

MC = d (TC) / dQ = 4Q + 10

equating MR = MC

2000 - Q/5 = 4Q + 10

2000 - 10 = 4Q + Q/5

1990 = 20Q + Q

∴ Q = 1990 / 21 = 94.76 ≈ 95 units ( output level )

Car Wash A theater group is having a carwash fundraiser. The liquid soap costs $31 and is enough to wash 40 cars. Each car is ch
zheka24 [161]

Answer:

A) Independent variable is "c"

Dependent variable is "p"

B) Yes, it's a function

C) p = 7c - 31

D)domain of the function: 0 ≤ c ≤ 40

Range of the function: 0 ≤ p ≤ 249

Step-by-step explanation:

A) c is the total number of cars washed and p is the profit. The profit depends on the total number of cars washed. Hence, profit(p) is the dependent variable while "c" is independent variable

B) Yes it's a function because for each number of cars washed, there is a distinct value of profit made.

C) We are told that the liquid soap costs $31 and is enough to wash 40 cars. Each car is charged 7$.

$31 is cost to wash one car. Thus profit made per car is;

p = 7c - 31

D) The cost of $31 liquid soap is enough to only wash a maximum of 40 cars. This means the domain for the cars is from 0 cars to 40 cars

Thus;

domain of the function is 0 ≤ c ≤ 40

The profit function is given in answer C above as p = 7c - 31.

Now, if 0 cars are washed they will make zero profit but if 40 cars are washed then;

p = 7(40) - 31

p = 280 - 31

p = 249

Range of the function: 0 ≤ p ≤ 249
