We can point out that freedom of expression is particularly important nowadays. The current generation is addicted to expressing their opinion, to saying what they do not like or do not like. We can say that we have freedom of expression.

Freedom of expression is the fundamental right of man to say what he thinks. It is a natural right, which belongs to the essence of the human being, as well as the right to life, to dignity, being probably the most important right for the functioning of a free and democratic society.

At the individual level, freedom of expression is a necessary condition for the development, fulfillment, and dignity of each person. This right helps us to know and better understand the world we live in, through the free exchange of ideas and information with our fellow human beings.

Freedom of expression is important not only as a right, but also because it is essential for the observance of other fundamental rights (access to information, political freedom, religious freedom, the rights of national minorities, sex).

Without free expression there is no exchange of ideas, there is no public debate, there is no possibility to inform ourselves, to choose, to express ourselves artistically. Our daily choices, the way we dress, the music we listen to, the books we read, the media we are informed about, are all expressions of the right to free speech.

Totalitarian regimes (communism, fascism, Nazism, religious dictatorships) have been (and still are in some countries) the most hostile to this right. Restrictions imposed by law and abuses by the authorities concerned both political freedom of expression (banning opposition parties, restricting the right to association and public assemblies, sanctioning criticism of the government), and other manifestations of freedom of expression, such as cultural ones. artistic, sports.

For many historical periods, the world has been persecuted and has not been able to express its opinion, opinion, knowledge.
