Classical literature as compared with Enlightenment literature, <span>explored themes of social upheaval, reversals of personal status, political satire, geographical exploration and the comparison between the supposed natural state of man and the supposed civilized state of man. The Enlightenment was a movement that brought back the classic thoughts that were from the Roman and Greek classic times. Because of that, Enlightenment favored science and industry to influence human learning and beliefs. The Enlightenment literature had the main ideas of the classical literature which were structure, unity, clarity, and restraint.
