Urbanization during the middle of the 1800's contributed to conflicts over religion, social class, and politics. Urbanization affected the states environmentally, politically, and culturally. A rise in population growth. Mass consumption. Increase in art, literature and leisure time. Hazards and benefits of their surroundings. They even had a stricter government rule. As industries grew larger, they demanded for skilled white-collar workers, engineers, accountants and attorneys. This went on for many years, though some believe urbanization was a negative thing in our American history, I believe that it was a positive thing. It helped improve the middle class.
