This is what we call a "red scare."  The first Red Scare happened after World War I -- which also was the time when communists came to power in Russia. (The Bolshevik Revolution began in Russia in 1917, during the time of the war.)

The second Red Scare came after World War II.  During the war, the USA and the USSR had been allies -- although always somewhat uncomfortable allies.  Together they fought to defeat German and Japanese aggression.  But the USA and the USSR had very opposite views to one another.  So after World War II ended, there was great fear in America again about the infiltration of communist ideas around the world.

How did Lincoln’s intentions in relation to slavery change from the beginning of the war to the end?
tester [92]

Answer:

At the outset of the Civil War, President Lincoln had not spoken out specifically on issues relating to slavery, but on the contrary, had established that abolition of slavery was not one of the mainstays of the Union, but the maintenance of national unity.

Now, as the years and battles progressed, this position was mutating, and in 1863 President Lincoln made his Emancipation Proclamation, by which he freed all the African-American slaves that were in the southern states that were falling into the hands of the Union, urging in turn that they join the northern cause.

Thus, through these types of policies, President Lincoln was including slaves and abolitionists within his political position, leaving the Confederation in ideological check.

How did the age of reason writers and speakers influence people to action and revolution??
Helga [31]

Answer:

The Age of Reason and Enlightenment started off in the eighteenth century. This period has its root in France, thus giving it an alternate name of French Enlightenment. Even though this Age is said to have been started in the 1700s, the causes behind it started as long as two to three centuries before it. The dictatorship of the Church was the key reason behind the rebellion of the people.

Thats just an opinión though.

An autocracy defines itself as a system of government where one person has absolute power. Kim is this person; a dictator. This cartoon introduces the concept of autocracy and how one person can hold absolute power over everyone around them. North Korea teaches young children in school about Kim, and the way he is taught may be seen as a unjustifiable view. Kim has power over everyones lives, and you can even say he may brainwash people. He doesn't allow people to act on their own decisions and opinions, as a democracy typically does.

Concluding; this cartoon represents the corrupt autocracy that North Korea and Kim have founded.
