Political upheaval in Germany caused people to seek freedom elsewhere wasn't the reason
Slavery ended when President Abraham Lincoln delivered his iconic Emancipation Proclamation. This would eventually free black people so they could become ordinary citizens and NOT slaves. So basically, slavery was ended all thanks to good ol' Lincoln :)
D. Backbones.
All of the animals listed are vertebrae, a classification of animals that means they have backbones. Fish do not have legs, lungs, or hair, and birds lack hair as well.
