The word "times" means you have to multiply.

2 1/5 times 1 3/4 is 3 17/20.

The phrase "how many more" means you have to subtract.

3 17/20 minus 2 1/5 is 1 13/20.

Carson walked her dog 1 13/20 more miles than Claire did.

Butoxors [25]

Answer:

  • 1
  • 2

Step-by-step explanation:

There is no algebraic way to solve such an equation. It can be simplified to ...

  -2x-6=-2^x-6\\\\2x-2^x=0\qquad\text{add $2x+6$}

This has solutions at x=1 and x=2 as shown in the attached graph.

The second attachment shows the functions graphed on the same graph.

What are the values of K and M? And please show all work on how you got your answer
ipn [44]

Answer:

  k = 7

  m = 8

Step-by-step explanation:

The diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other, so the two halves of each diagonal are the same length. That means ...

  m = 8

and

  k +4 = 11

  k = 7 . . . . . subtract 4 from both sides of the equation
