That is a right triangle. So I think it’s a2+b2=c2. So it will be 7 the power of 2 plus the 10 the power of 2. So, it will be 49 plus 100, and that will be 149. Then it’s gonna be c2=149. How you gonna remove the 2, using square root. So square root of 149 is 12.2. So your final answer is 12.2. Check the calculator if I am right.

A hotel is building a large new aquarium for their lobby. They know the length from the top corner to the opposite bottom corner
nignag [31]

Answer:

 • 3 ft, 144 ft³

Step-by-step explanation:

Find the width as below

 • l² + w² + h² = d², where l- length, w- width, h- height, d- the distance between top and bottom corners

Substitute the values and solve for w

 • 4² + w² + 12² = 13²
 • w² + 160 = 169
 • w² = 9
 • w = 3 feet

Now find the volume

 • V = lwh
 • V = 4*3*12 = 144 ft³

(01.01 LC)An athlete took forward and backward steps of equal distance to warm up before his race. After taking 10 steps total,
Firdavs [7]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

 • 5 steps forward
 • 5 steps backward

Step-by-step explanation:

In order for the total displacement to be zero, the amount of forward displacement must be equal and opposite to the amount of backward displacement. Since the steps are the same length, they must be equal in number.

Half of the 10 steps were forward, and the other half were backward.

5 steps forward; 5 steps backward.

_____

Additional comment

Math develops from an effort to model the real world. It would probably give you some insight into this problem if you were to physically take some steps to see how many forward and backward you would need to end where you start.
