4. PART B: What detail from the text best supports your answer to Part A?
kati45 [8]

Hello. You forgot to say that this question is about the poem "O Captain! My Captain!" by Walt Whitman.

In addition, you forgot to show what part A was referring to, so that it was possible to answer your question about art B.

Part A asks what the word "exulting" means in the third line of the poem. That word means that the population in the port was showing happiness and emotion.

Answer:

D "For you bouquets and ribbon'd wreaths - for you the shores a-crowding"

Explanation:

The poem is about a sailor's sadness about the captain's death, after a very difficult trip. The captain was an admirable leader and that is why the sailor regrets his death even in the face of the commemoration of the population for the ship having managed to reach the port.

In the third line of the poem, we can see that the population is "exulting" which means that they are happy and thrilled with the arrival of the ship and this happiness makes these people fill the beach and offer bouquets and ribbon'd wreaths for the captain.

This is A. True

An image usually represents something with denotative (descriptive, literal) meaning, while symbols usually represent something more complex and are used in metaphors and allegories.

PLEASE HELP WITH THIS ASSIGNMENT
son4ous [18]

(I took this from ahsan57900)

1. The governments and economies of foreign nations greatly influenced the United States of America because the products produced by foreign nations compete with the American products in the market. This competition causes negative effects on the economy of United States when more products of foreign countries are sold as compared to American products due to lower prices of foreign nations products.

2. Big challenges are created by nontraditional economies, natural disasters, and emerging democracies on the United States government because these factors lowers the production and sale of American products in the market that affected the economy.

Which excerpt from “Everyday Use” best infers the value that Momma places on the quilts? “She can always make some more," I said
aksik [14]

Answer:

“God knows I been saving 'em for long enough with nobody using 'em. I hope she will!”

Explanation:

The excerpt from Everyday Use that best infers the value that Momma places on the quilts is “God knows I been saving 'em for long enough with nobody using 'em. I hope she will!” which clearly shows that she has been saving it for a long time because she values it.

Value is placed on a thing when it is saved from regular use so it can still retain it value.
