Compromise of 1850
The Compromise of 1850 was a new compromise to deal with slavery and new lands acquired by the Mexican American War.
The Compromise of 1850 allowed California to enter the Union as a free state despite being under the 36,30 line. The compromise included the passage of the Fugitive Slave Act making it a requirement to return runaway slaves to owners regardless if they make it to a free state. Territories would be allowed to vote for the status as a free or slave territory. The compromise also included the ending of the slave trade in Washington DC.
The short answer is: to stop black people from voting.
In late 1800 black people were already allowed to vote (black men only) but in the South, racism was still prevalent and in order to stop black people from voting, the while people in power came up with a number of additional requirements, such as having a grandfather that was allowed to vote, which many black people could not prove they had.

The Mogao Caves(also known as Mogao Grottoes or Dunhuang Cave) is the answer. This cave is a famous place for pilgrim and worship. According to the book written during the reign of the Tang Dynasty, a monk named Le Zun( Also known as Yuezun) had a vision of that very site. In his vision, he saw a thousand of Buddhes basking in the golden light. The caves were develop into shrines with the help of donors, funding the construction of the shrines. The shrine were elaborately painted, cave painting and architecture. They also had a library of inscriptions. Presently, Mogao cave is one of the tourist spots in China.
