It can change a person in many ways, like it change the way they act, think, observe, dress, and they also think more carefully in what they say. It makes them think more of what other people have been going through and if they  have had a similar situation they could relate and be more considerate of their situation. It can change the person also because it has brought a lot of pressure and impact into their lives, so it kind of gives them a reason to change
