I think the Nacirema people live in the rural area because they are considered a<em> "tribe," </em>which has a low population. Having a low population is a characteristic of a rural society. As a tribe, the Nacirema people have their <em>own beliefs that are never heard of</em> in the modern society or more urbanized locations. For example, they believe that <u>pregnant women should wear black clothing in order to hide their condition</u>. Talking about<em> "intercourse"</em> is considered a taboo. Their location led them into practicing their own rituals.
