10a.f(x) = x - 4
       h(x) = \sqrt{x - 5}
       (f - h)(6) = (6 - 4) - (\sqrt{6 - 5})
       (f - h)(6) = 2 - \sqrt{1}
       (f - h)(6) = 2 - 1
       (f - h)(6) = 1

10b.f(x) = x - 4
       g(x) = \frac{1}{x - 3}
       (f * g)(x) = (x - 4)(\frac{1}{x - 3})
       (f * g)(x) = \frac{x - 4}{x - 3}
       Domain: (-∞, 3) ∨ (3, ∞) {x|x ≠ 3}
       Interval Notation: (3 < x < 3), (3 > x > 3)

10c.g(x) = \frac{1}{x - 3}
       h(x) = \sqrt{x - 5}
       (g * h)(x) = (\frac{1}{x - 3})(\sqrt{x - 5})
       (g * h)(x) = \frac{\sqrt{x - 5}}{x - 3}

10d.f(x) = x - 4
       g(x) = \frac{1}{x - 3}
       h(x) = \sqrt[3]{x - 7}
       h(x) = (f * g)(x)
       \sqrt[3]{x - 7} = (x - 4)(\frac{1}{x - 3})
       \sqrt[3]{x - 7} = \frac{x - 4}{x - 3}
       (\sqrt[3]{x - 7})^{3} = (\frac{x - 4}{x - 3})^{3}
       x - 7 = \frac{(x - 4)^{3}}{(x - 3)^{3}}
       (x - 3)^{3}(x - 7) = (x - 4)^{3}
       (x^{3} - 9x^2 + 27x + 27)(x - 7) = (x^{3} - 12x^{2} + 48x - 64)
       x^{4} - 16x^{3} + 90x^{2} - 216x + 189 = x^{3} - 12x^{2} + 48x - 64
       x^{4} + 90x^{2} - 216x + 189 = 17x^{3} - 12x^{2} + 48x - 64
       x^{4} + 102x^{2} - 216x + 189 = 17x^{3} + 48x - 64
       x^{4} + 102x^{2} + 189 = 17x^{3} + 264x - 64
       x^{4} + 102x^{2} + 253 = 17x^{3} + 264x
       x^{4} - 17x^{3} + 102x^{2} - 264x + 253 = 0
       x = 4\ or\ 8

Red roses come 3 to a package, and white roses come 5 to a package. If an equal number of red and white roses are wanted to make
Katen [24]

Answer:

B :- 15

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

A package of red rose contains = 3 pieces

A package of white rose contains = 5 pieces

If an equal number of red and white roses are wanted to make bouquets, what is the minimum number of each that can be purchased ?

Solution:

As here given that there are two types of package of roses, red roses come 3 pieces to each packet and white roses come 5 pieces to each packet and we have to find equal minimum number of  red roses as well as white roses to be purchased, we will simply find the Lowest common multiple of 3 and 5.

Multiples of 3 :- 3, 6, 9,12, 15, 18, 21, 24

Multiples of 5 :- 5, 10, 15, 20, 25

<em>Lowest common multiple is 15, that means </em><em>15 is the minimum number of pieces of each that can be purchased to make bouquets.</em>

And number of packets of red rose have to purchase = 3 \times <em><u>5</u></em> = 15, 5 packages.

And number of packets of white rose have to purchase = 5 \times <em><u>3</u></em> = 15 , 3 packages.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1) 5p⁻³ = 8*5⁻²

p⁻³  = 2³*5⁻²/5

p⁻³ =2³*5⁻³             { 1/a^m = a^-m}

p⁻³ = 5⁻³ /2⁻³            {a^m = 1/a^-m}

p⁻³ = (5/2)⁻³

p= 5/2

2) 4x²  = 81

x²  = 81/4

x²  = 9² /2²

x²  =(9/2)²

x = 9/2

3) 9^x/3 =81

9^x/3 = 9^2

Comparing the powers, x/3 = 2

                                         x = 2*3 =6

  x = 6
