Why did the Roman army destroy Jerusalem in 70 CE?
yarga [219]
The Jews living there rebelled against their Roman reign. Emperor Nero decided that what they did wasn't okay, and he launched an attack against Jerusalem, the Jews' religious stronghold.
It turned into a slaughterfest of Legionnaires killing Jews and ransacking the city. This eventually led to the Romans burning down and destroying the Jews' Temple that served as the center of Judaism.

What did religious intolerance, high rents on land, and scarcity of resources lead to
GarryVolchara [31]

Answer:

reasons English settlers came to colonies in America

Explanation:

Many variations of the Christian faith were appearing in Europe. With the rise of the new denominations, there was also a raise of intolerance. The New World, at first, had nothing and it was inviting new people. It was a cheaper way to have a chance do be free, at least religiously.
