Answer:

The Reichstag Fire was a dramatic arson attack occurring on February 27, 1933, which burned the building that housed the Reichstag (German parliament) in Berlin. Claiming the fire was part of a Communist attempt to overthrow the government, the newly named Reich Chancellor Adolf Hitler used the fire as an excuse to seize absolute power in Germany, paving the way for the rise of his Nazi regime.

HITLER’S RISE

By the late 1920s, Adolf Hitler and his Nationalist Socialist German Workers (Nazi) Party were gaining strength due to growing popular dissatisfaction with the ruling Weimar Republic.

Germany’s economic woes in the early 1930s threw the government into further chaos, with President Paul von Hindenburg forced to replace several chancellors within a short time period. In late January 1933, hoping to make an alliance with the Nazis against more left-wing opponents, Hindenburg reluctantly asked Hitler to serve as chancellor.

With elections set for early March, the Nazis set about suppressing their political opposition. On February 4, Hitler’s cabinet issued the temporary Decree for the Protection of the German People, which restricted the German press and authorized the police to ban political meetings and marches.

GenaCL600 [577]
False, cartography is the science and the art of making maps. Cartography combines the scientific knowledge of the world, with aesthetics or quality, as well certain techniques to create maps. Therefore, a cartographer is an individual who makes maps not an individual who runs a printing press.

What did Europe’s seas and rivers provide for its people
Scorpion4ik [409]

Answer:

People and goods can sail easily from inland areas to the open sea and, from there, to other parts of the world. Europe's seas and rivers provided protection as well as possibilities for trade. The English Channel, for example, separated the islands of Britain and Ireland from the rest of Europe.

In what ways did louis xiv's approach to controlling the french nobility differ from that taken by cardinal richelieu?
pentagon [3]
Let’s start with the Cardinal first. Richelieu was a talented statesman and politician, and as Chief Minister of the king (Louis XIII at that time) he consolidated royal power at the expense of the nobles, and made France a strong centralized state. The King Louis XIV, basically, followed the Cardinal’s footsteps and went further by housing most of them in the Versailles Palace. In addition, the king used entertaining, impressing, and domesticating them with extravagant luxury to keep a close eye and a heavy heel on the aristocracy.
