To stop the flow of people leaving east Germany and going to west Germany. (Mind that this is in Berlin the city itself.)

The Sugar Act taxed the colonists even more on sugar and molasses.
The Stamp Act did the same thing as the Sugar Act except instead of sugar and molasses it taxed the colonists on sent letters, newspapers, stamps and other stuff that had to do something with paper.

The Compromise of 1850 brought many good things for the North, but not for the South too. It prevented slavery from spreading, and protected slaves who ran away from their Southern masters, which obviously the South did not like. This was one of the reasons fro the Civil War between these two parts of America.
