Answer:

The American strategy to defeat the Japanese was to island hop around Japan, not to attack their country directly but to take over all the islands around it and surround them and hopefully starve them to surrender. It was led General MacArthur and also Admiral Chester Nimitz.  It is otherwise known as leapfrogging. Leapfrogging would allow the United States forces to reach Japan quickly and not expend the time, manpower, and supplies to capture every Japanese-held island on the way. It would give the Allies the advantage of surprise and keep the Japanese off balance. The overall leapfrogging strategy would involve two prongs.

What issues did uk face following<br> ww2
kotykmax [81]
Well the United Kingdom was allies with the British Empire,Russia, China, and the United States during WW2. As the opposing team was Germany,Italy and Japan. Though the most tough issue was keeping up to par with the germans especially after the Battle Of Britan. On September 7, 1940, 300 German bombers raided London in what would be the first of 57 consecutive nights of bombing. This "blitzkrieg" would continue until May 1941. (History.com) though after the war the UK actually was not damaged much at all socially, economicaly or polictally
