Factor the expression. Use the fundamental identities to simplify, if necessary.
Rasek [7]

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the trigonometric identity

sin²x + cos²x = 1 ⇒ sin²x = 1 - cos²x

Given

sin²x + 7cosx + 17

=1 - cos²x + 7cosx + 17

= - cos²x + 7cosx + 18 ← factor out - 1 from each term

= - (cos²x - 7cosx - 18)

Consider the factors of the constant term (- 18) which sum to give the coefficient of the cosx term (- 7)

The factors are - 9 and + 2, thus

= - (cosx - 9)(cosx + 2) ← in factored form

Can some one solve these?!
ivolga24 [154]
All you need to solve these is a knowledge of the 3 main trigonometrical ratios.
I a right angled triangle where A is a non right angle:-

sin A = opposite / hypotenuse                         (hypotenuse is the sloping side)

cos A = adjacent / hyptenuse       ( the adjacent side is the one the angle 'sits' on)

tan A = opposite / adjacent   (  the opposite side is the one opposite the angle)

So to find the length of segment x in the first problem use

sin 61 = x / 50
 then
x  = 50*sin61  =  43.73

and to find the length of y:-

cos 61 = y / 50
y = 60 cos 61 =  24.24

The other questions can be solved in a similar way.

PLEAZE HELP IM STUCK PLS
kotegsom [21]

Answer:

T_{23}=-153

Step-by-step explanation:

T_{23}=a+(n-1)d\\

=a+(23-1)d=a+22d

Now a=-21 and

d=-27-(-21)\\=-6

So T_{23}==21+((22)6\times-1)

=-153

suppose that maura continues to drive at her increased speed write an equation that represents the additional distance ,d ,in mi
Vlad [161]
Well for this equation if your trying to find the distances (d)
You need to know the speed (S) and the amount of hours (T)  she traveled

So your equation would look like this d= S* T
