The example of tendency perception that is being shown above is the self serving bias. It is a way of people uses this method in order to maintain one's worth or abilities in a manner that would suffice the person. It could be seen above as Amy denied the fact that she was speeding because she tries to maintain her image as she just told her friend to be careful of speeding. That is why she denied it.
