Answer:

genocide is a term describing violence against a community of people so genocide was created due to peoples views on other people(their views on a race or because of their religion)

Explanation:

genocide could be done in multiple ways, being a person in power, like hitler. or you could do it under the terms of a religion(usually under the influence of an occult). It really only started being recognized after hitler though

Why did the U.s help the french in their fight against HoChiMinh?
Studentka2010 [4]

The US was certainly anticommunist and certainly a French ally but it is described in Bernard Fall's "Hell in a Very Small Place" as a gradual process.

6. Your class visits a local jail run by a private, profit-making company that detains county criminals and is paid with tax rev
Tamiku [17]
- Prisons are supposed to be a public good. I'm not sure if that's still true if the prison is private.

I say the govt should run prisons so you prob ought to get input from someone who says disagrees.

-Companies have a duty to their shareholders to make as much profit as they can. They have no duty to the tax payer. The part of your taxes that is allocated for prisons is supposed to pay for the welfare and rehabilitation of prisoners, equipment, salary, and benefits for staff, and the buildings. If the company's taking a profit, that money isn't going toward those items, which increases recidivism rates and overall costs of running the prison.

What is the effect of the supermacy clause in the constitution
svlad2 [7]

Answer:

The Constitution's Supremacy Clause prohibits state governments from passing laws that conflict with federal laws and also prohibits any entity from enforcing laws that conflict with the Constitution. This protects enumerated powers, which are federal government powers that are specifically set out in the Constitution.

why was constantinople able to survive as the central hub of european culture throughout the early 1000s?
Ivenika [448]

Constantinople was able to survive due to its strategic location and sofisticated system of fortifications.

Constantinople was able to survive as the central hub of the European culture throughout the early 1000s due to its strategic location, the city was located in a strait between the Black and Mediterranean Seas, between Europe and Asia, which allowed the city to be prevented from many invaders, from Hunes to Arabs.

In addition, the city counted with a sophisticated system of fortifications which made impossible any attempt of siege until the appearance of first developments on modern artillery in the 15th Century, and the city was well communicated with the most important nations in Eastern and Western Europe by sea (i.e. Italy, Carolingian Empire, Kiev' Rus), of which the city may receive reinforcements in desperate situations.
