Anthropologists have been studying the role of soybean curd and related products in the culture of Hong Kong. The researchers in

terview people about how frequently they eat soybean products, where they eat them (at home or in restaurants), and during what time of day they eat them. The researchers also ask people about how they prepare soybean products, where they obtain soybean products, and any beliefs they might have about the soybean products (such as their nutritional value). The data are used to assess the role of soybean products in the culture. The researchers are also considering how their findings relate to global soybean consumption patterns.
1. What is the primary field of anthropology addressed in this research?

a. Linguistic anthropology
b. Archaeology
c. Biological anthropology
d. Cultural anthropology

2. Which field of anthropology (other than the one you indicated above) is most related to this research?

a. Biological Anthropology
b. Archaeology
c. Linguistic Anthropology
d. Cultural Anthropology
e. All fields of Anthropology are related to this topic

3. How might this research contribute to a comparative anthropological approach?

a. This research could be used to compare quinoa consumption in other parts of the world.
b. This research could be used to compare biological adaptations across Bolivia.
c. This research could be used to compare quinoa consumption in other primate species.
d. This research could be used to compare quinoa DNA to other plants.

3. The way this research might contribute to a comparative anthropological approach is:

a. This research could be used to compare soybean consumption in other parts of the world.

Explanation:

Describe how the structures of proteins differ from the structures of carbohydrates
Masteriza [31]

Answer:

Both are considered macromolecules. I'll explain below

Explanation:

Proteins are like a huge Lego construction. Each individual piece gets pieced together to make a larger "thing" - Death Star, House, etc. Each individual piece is a monomer, and the larger construction is the polymer. The monomers are Amino Acids and they get pieced together to form the polymer that is called a protein. The linkage that they use is an amide bond, and in biology it is usually called a peptide bond.

Carbohydrates can be singular monomers or polymer units. They are made of completely different compounds - usually aldehydes or ketones. And they link together through different chemical linkages (acetal or ketal linkages for polymers, hemiacetal or hemiketal linkages for monomers).

Both can be large, 3D strucutres - proteins are only functional as a large, 3D structure, while carbohydrates can be singular.
