They were one of the greatest Iranian empire after the 7th century Muslim conquest of Iran. They made one of the most important turning points in Muslim history by establishing the Twelver school of Shia Islam.

They made Iran the hub of art, poetry, architecture and philosophy . One of their major achievement is that Shi'ism became the official religion of Persia.
