How did Aztec culture shape the first meeting between Hernán Cortés and Moctezuma?
MArishka [77]

In the spring of 1519, upon receiving the news of the arrival of strangers to the east coast of present-day Mexico, to the beaches of Chalchihuecan in the present state of Veracruz, Moctezuma sent ambassadors presided over by five Mexica nobles to investigate the stories. Following his detailed instructions, the emissaries carried three sets of trappings: one associated with Tezcatlipoca, another with Tlaloc, and another with Quetzalcoatl. Each Nahua god had elements of specific attire, and Moctezuma believed that Cortes could be related to Quetzalcoatl, taking into consideration the prophecy which said "from the east will come white and bearded men" and thought that if the Spanish allowed them to adorn it with their attributes It would be proven that such a relationship was true, since no one would dare allow themselves to be decorated in such a way without being authorized for it by the deity. Perhaps by chance, Cortés was pleased when he was dressed in Quetzalcoatl's suit. This terrified Moctezuma Xocoyotzin, who sent rich presents to prevent the Spanish from approaching. But the gifts only aroused the greed of the invaders.

Those townships had a total area of 36 square miles and that in turn got divided into 36 lots of 640 acres each. for every such township, one lot was always reserved for schools to be made while three lots were kept for the veterans. the remaining lots were sold to the public. This land ordinance of 1785 was adopted by the Continental Congress on May 20 of the year 1985. This ordinance remained in effect and formed the foundation for the Homestead Act in the year 1862.

What does the organizer imply about great Britain
lys-0071 [83]

The correct answer is that both nations were imperialist, as the columns shows each country's territorial acquisitions.

In fact, both Japan and the United Kingdom had imperialist ambitions, which resulted in the invasion of other territories and the formation of colonies. That was the case of Manchuria, Korea and Ryukyu, among others, with respect to Japan; and Hong Kong, Bermuda, Canada, Australia, among others, regarding the United Kingdom.

Today, many of these colonies have become independent or are in the process of becoming independent, since these countries have held back their expansionist ambitions.
