A 3 kg ball rolls at 2m/s does this system favor kinetic energy or potential energy?
MissTica

Answer:

Kinetic energy

Explanation:

Total energy of any  system is always conserved.

E = K +U

E= Total energy

K = kinetic energy

U = Potential energy

Kinetic energy is the energy acquired by the system due to the virtue of it's motion.

Potential energy is the energy acquired by the system due to the virtue of it's configuration.

Also, Kinetic energy K = \frac{1}{2} m v^{2}

K = \frac{1}{2} \times 3 \times 2^{2}

K = 6 J

a plane flies from Addis Ababa to Gamble is 400km. in 2 hrs, then straight back to Gamma is 200km. in 1hrs what is the average s
kramer

Answer:

a) Average speed = 200 Km/hr

b) Average velocity = 0 m/s

c) Total distance = 800 Km

d) Total displacement = 0 Km

Explanation:

a) Let the speed of the plane from Addis Ababa to Gamble be represented by S_{1}, and from Gamble to Addis Ababa by S_{2}.

Average speed = \frac{S_{1} + S_{2} }{2}

S_{1} = \frac{distance}{time} = \frac{400}{2}

        = 200 Km/hr

S_{2} = \frac{distance}{time} = \frac{200}{1}

       = 200 Km/hr

Average speed = \frac{200 + 200}{2}

        = 200 Km/hr

b) Velocity = \frac{displacement}{time}

Average velocity = \frac{total displacement}{total time taken}

Since the plane flies from Addis Ababa to Gamble, then back to Addis Ababa, its total displacement is zero.

So that,

Average velocity = 0 m/s

c) Total distance = 400 Km + 400 Km

                           = 800 Km

d) Total displacement = 400 Km + (-400 Km)

                           = 0 Km
