Georgia [21]
The state he doesn't mention is B. Texas. Near the end of the speech, he mentions all of the countries except for Texas. He also mentions others like Pennsylvania and George, and Tennessee as well. He also mentions other places like the river Mississippi and various mountains and things like that.

Which of the following statements is most accurate?
storchak [24]
I would say that B is the most accurate. This is because:

Pull factor is something that makes someone want to arrive in a new country.
Push factor is something that makes them want to leave an old country.

B states that fighting in a homeland, something that a normal civilian wouldn't want to take part in, would make someone want to leave their country.

So, the answer is B!

Answer:

What happened to Germany after the Second World War? It was divided into sectors occupied by the allies: Britain (northwest), US (southwest) and Russia (East) separated East and West in Berlin, by the Wall. The wall was knocked down during the Regan years (1989); Germany was limited in the size of the Army it could create; was forced to pay enormous reparations for destruction to other countries. Was recreated politically as a democracy (in the West) GDR: German Democratic Republic and Communist (East). Eventually became a powerful financial force in the world economy thanks to the billions of US dollars spent to rebuild.

How did the Soviets blockade West Berlin? The Berlin blockade was implemented because the Soviets did not want the West to move West Germany towards an existence as a united and independent country. The specific action that caused the blockade was the West's creation of a new currency that would be used by West Germany. It was because of the introduction of that currency that the blockade began.

What was the Berlin Airlift? A military operation in the late 1940s that brought food and other needed goods into West Berlin by air after the government of East Germany, which at that time surrounded West Berlin ( see Berlin wall) (see also Berlin wall), had cut off its supply routes. The United States joined with western European nations in flying the supplies in. The airlift was one of the early events of the cold war.

How did the Berlin Airlift save the West Berliners? When Germany was split, Berlin became landlocked. The only way in or out was by air. So everything they needed had to be flown in.

Why did the Berlin blockade fail? It was the "Berlin Air Lift". Mostly american cargo planes like the c-17 flew in supplies into Berlin through special corridors that the Soviets had no Control over. Since there was no way to stop the planes unless shooting at them and starting up another war, they decide to lift the blockade.
