The most realistic fiction among the choices is
<span>So Christian turned out of his way to go to Mr. Legality's house for help; but, behold, when he was got now hard by the hill, it seemed so high, and also that side of it that was next the wayside did hang so much over, that Christian was afraid to venture further, lest the hill should fall on his head; wherefore there he stood still and wotted not what to do. Also his burden now seemed heavier to him than while he was in his way. There came also flashes of fire out of the hill, that made Christian afraid that he should be burned.

<u>Which excerpt best reflects common features of realistic fiction?</u>

<em>B. From a window of an apartment...</em>

<u>Excerpt C </u>is the one that presents common features of realistic fiction. Realistic fiction describes <u>ordinary scenes</u>:<em> "there leaned a curious woman", "some laborers, unloading a scow at a dock", </em>or <em>"the engineer of a passive tugboat hung lazily to a railing and watched". </em>These scenes mirror real people and their day-to-day actions set in a specific setting, such as a river, which may allude to a real place.

Excerpts A, B and D present elements that can be from a science fiction story (Time Traveller) a dream-like allegory (Christian and Mr. Legality) or a fable (Wolf and the Lamb), hence, they don't reflect realistic fiction's features.

EMERGENCY ON THE MOUNTAIN
ziro4ka [17]
Well think about words that associate with the word “emergency.” Perhaps it may evoke a sense of panic or tension. Usually emergencies imply urgency of an unexpected situation which may come as a shock. Imagine there was an emergency on the mountain. Maybe someone tripped while hiking and sprained their ankles or broke a few bones. The ambulance would need to be called.

Use context to determine the meaning of the word tremulous as it is used in Across Five Aprils. Write your definition of ""tremu
Ainat [17]

Answer:

definition of tremulous would be shaking or quivering from fear, usually while acting very timid

Explanation:

After reading Across Five Aprils by Irene Hunt I found the word "tremulous" in Chapter 2. It was used in the sentence "her voice is tremulous from fear of being wrong and out of place". From this context, the definition of tremulous would be shaking or quivering from fear, usually while acting very timid. I believe this would be the best definition of this word since when you speaking with fear in your heart your voice tends to become shaky and many times incoherent due to the fear, as was happening in this part of Chapter 2.

The Stage Manager overlaps past and future when he describes the Gibbs:
"Doc Gibbs died in 1930." (future) Then he says: "Mrs. Gibbs died first--long time ago, in fact." (past).

The second example is when he talks about the cornerstone they're putting in the bank so that people "a thousand years from now" can find it. He discusses the ancient Babylonians and then the people of a thousand years from the present.
