The ratio of two complementary angles is 7:2. What is the measure, in degrees, of the larger angle?
AnnZ [28]

Answer:

The larger angle is 70°

And The smaller angle is 20°  .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The ratio of two complementary angles = 7 : 2

Let The larger angle = 7 x

And The smaller angle = 2 x

Now, According to question

<u>Complementary angle is define as when two angles were added to make right angle i.e 90° are complementary to each other .</u>

So, here

7 x + 2 x =  90°

Or, 9 x =  90°

∴  x = \dfrac{90^{\circ}}{9}

i.e x = 10°

Now, putting the value of x

So, The larger angle = 7 × 10° = 70°

And The smaller angle = 2 × 10° = 20°

Hence, The larger angle is 70°

And The smaller angle is 20°  . Answer

The picture below shows Annie and her younger brother Tommy’s money. They want to combine their money to buy something together.
Inga [223]

Answer:

$5.47

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data:

Annie has 4 dollar , 11 dimes, 4 pennies.

Tommy has 3 dimes, 3 pennies.

To add the money, let us first convert dime and penny into dollar.

1 dollar = $1

11 dime = $1.1

4 penny = $0.04

3 dime = $0.3

3 penny = $ 0.03

Total money = Annie’s money + Tommy’s money

                     = $4 + $1.1 + $ 0.04 + $0.3 + $0.03

                     = $5.47

So, they have $5.47 in all.

What is the sum of the first five terms of a geometric series with a1=20 and r=1/4
IrinaK [193]
The sum of a geometric sequence is:

s(n)=a(1-r^n)/(1-r), a=initial term and r=common ration so

s(n)=20(1-0.25^n)/(1-0.25)

s(5)=20(1-0.25^5)/(0.75)

s(5)=26.640625
