Here's your answer!
x2 + 4x - 21

Okay, here's what you have to do.
It's a two termed expression because it's x squared.
So, start your problem off like this.
(x ) (x )

The middle, 4x, and the 21 go together, in a way.
You have to find two numbers that multiplied make 21,
<span>but at the same time can subract to make 4. </span>
(The only reason it's subtract to make 4 in this problem
is because of the minus sign in front of the 21. That sign
<span>will tell you whether the two numbers should add or </span>
subract to give you the middle number.)

You're numbers in this case are 7 and 3.
7 times 3 equals 21.
<span>7 minus 3 equals 4. </span>

I don't exactly remember all the rules with the signs,
but I believe it should look like this:
(x-7) (x-3)

<span>I wouldn't swear on it because it's been awhile, </span>
<span>but I think that's right.
</span>

Hope it helped!

Stels [109]

Answer:

The appropriate response is "0.9476".

Step-by-step explanation:

The given values are:

Standard deviation,

\sigma=1150

Randomly selected railroad-car shipments,

n = 500

As we know,

⇒ \sigma \bar{x}=\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n} }

On substituting the values, we get

⇒      =\frac{1150}{\sqrt{500} }

then,

⇒      =P(-1.94

⇒      =P(Z

On using the table of P, we get

⇒      =0.9738 - 0.0262

⇒      =0.9476

The answer to the problem is as follows:

<span>The orthocenter is where the altitudes of a triangle are concurrent (where they intersect each other). On your graph, that would be (-1,0)

The trapezoid below has legs with lengths y feet and one base that is four feet longer than the other base, x.
Rudiy27

The equation for the leg length, y is y = (P - 2x - 4)/2

The length of the leg "y" is 3 feet

a) Given the perimeter of the trapezoid expressed as:

P=2x + 2y + 4.

We are to make <em>y the subject of the formula </em>as shown:

P = 2(x+y) + 4

P - 2x = 2y + 4

P - 2x - 4 = 2y

Swap

2y = P - 2x - 4

y = (P - 2x - 4)/2

Hence the equation for the leg length, y is y = (P - 2x - 4)/2

b) Give that P = 26 feet and x = 8feet

y = (P - 2x - 4)/2

y = (26 - 2(8) - 4)/2

P = 26-20/2

P = 6/2

y = 3 feet

This shows that the length of the leg "y" is 3 feet
