In the years Before world war II why did some dictators believe they could take over Europe and some other part of the world?
Eva8 [605]
They believed so because the military strength of those countries increased in size by almost twice in the period between the two wars. They also felt humiliated after how World War 1 was resolved so they wanted their revenge and believed that they deserved more. Other parts included Africa and parts of Asia.

What was the relationship between Congress and President Johnson during presidential Reconstruction?
vlada-n [284]

Answer:

The Congress men supported the president

Explanation:

Frustrated by Johnson's actions, Congress proposed the Fourteenth Amendment to the states, and the amendment was ratified in 1868. As the conflict between the branches of government grew, Congress passed the Tenure of Office Act, restricting Johnson's ability to fire Cabinet officials.

Most moderate Republicans in Congress supported the president's proposal for Reconstruction because they wanted to bring a swift end to the war, but other Republicans feared that the planter aristocracy would be restored and the blacks would be forced back into slavery.
