1. Tell me something you did not know about Vice Presidents.

History
1 answer:
Ber [7]3 years ago

Answer:

Vice Presidents have a lot of duties to help assist the Presdient. VP's do things such as breaking tie votes in the senate, traveling abroad when the President is not in a fit state, taking the place of the President if they were to ever pass away or fall ill and they act as loyalists to the president, meaning that their opinion on a subject is always taken very carefully when the president is in need of answers. I'd say their pretty important as they act as a backup for the president.

Random fact I didnt know: almost one-third of VP become president at some point

How do sources help us to learn about the past?
DedPeter [7]
Primary sources help us learn about people in the past because you are learning about events that occurred from people that were there to actually witness it. You get first-hand information passed to you whether it's via your grandparents, a journal, or a letter. From primary sources you can also learn about the ways people lives were. You are informed about their culture, religion, foods, and clothing. Differing from secondary sources, you are not reading or listening to information about the past, or even present, that is biased and has edited or opinionated information included.

How did the industrial revolution change society during the gilded age
Sindrei [870]
It happened in the 1800’s it allowed a lot more people to get paid more from their jobs resulting in a higher standard of living. This is where unions came in the picture, they wanted 8 hour work days and no child labor. The gilded age is known as a prosperous time for the nation but the government was very corrupt. There were corrupt industrialists, bankers and politicians who stole and benefited from the working class.

*The trans continental railroad made more people move west and created “robber barons”

*Since the government was corrupt muckrakers became a thing, the muckrakers exposed government corruption and such

What did factory owners do to prevent unions from forming?
RoseWind [281]

Answer: (4) They used force to end union activities.

Explanation: Business owners, don't like unions for many reasons. They need a great deal of flexibility in cutting wages, hiring and firing, and adding extra hours of work or trimming back work hours when need be. In fact, wages and salaries are a very big part of their overall costs. And even when business is good, small wage cuts, or holding the line on wages, can lead to higher profits. Business owners are used to being in charge, and they don't want to be hassled by people they have come to think of as mere employees, not as breadwinners for their families or citizens of the same city and country.
