Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the cosine ratio in the right triangle

cosθ = \frac{adjacent}{hypotenuse} = \frac{7}{16} , then

θ = cos^{-1} (\frac{7}{16} ) ≈ 64° ( to the nearest degree )

A traffic engineer records a sample of the types of vehicles that cross a bridge. She counts 112 passenger cars, 18 light trucks
Bond [772]

Answer:

<em>The approximate probability that a random vehicle is a passenger car is 74.67%</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Probability</u>

The traffic engineer records 112 passenger cars, 18 light trucks, and 20 heavy trucks. The total of vehicles recorded is n=112+18+20 = 150.

We are required to find the probability that a randomly selected vehicle crossing the bridge is a passenger car. There are 112 passenger cars, thus the probability is:

\displaystyle p=\frac{112}{150}

p = 0.7467

p = 74.67%

The approximate probability that a random vehicle is a passenger car is 74.67%

1/2b+9/4=7/4 What is b and how do I solve?
rosijanka [135]
The gial is to isolate the variable taht is the first thing to remember, second whatever you do to one side you must do to the other. yiu can approach this.in two ways as I see it with 1b or alk fractions. I prefer fractions so first you want yo get rid of the 9/4 on the variabke side so 9/4-9/4 is zero and 7/4-9/4=(-2/4) then you have 1/2b=(-2/4) or (-1/2) so you multipke both sides by two and get b=(-1) hope that helped
