China enters in the Civil war in 1920. this war is between the Nationalist forces led by the Chiang Kai-shek and the communist forces led by Mao Zedong.

They delayed the civil war to war with the Japanese in World War Two. after the war they continued and Mao and his communist forces won.

Chiang left in defeat and took over the Island of Taiwan.

The outcome of the Chinese civil war presented a massive balance of power in the cold war struggle. Mao's led communist forces marked the conclusion of the successful Chinese communist revolution.

It also posed a potential threat to the United States in terms of the potential spread of communism in Asia.
