The necessary element that forms part of the structure of dna and rna is ___________ .
vodka [1.7K]

The necessary element that forms part of the structure of dna and rna is phosphorous.

 • A crucial part of DNA, the genetic "memory unit" of all living organisms, contains phosphorus.
 • It is also a part of RNA, which reads DNA's genetic code to create proteins and other substances necessary for plant structure, seed production, and genetic transmission.
 • All tissues and cells require phosphorus for growth, upkeep, and repair, as well as for the synthesis of DNA and RNA, the genetic building blocks.
 • The nucleotides in a DNA sequence are joined by an alternating grey-dark grey sugar-phosphate backbone.
 • The structural structure of nucleic acids, including DNA and RNA, is composed of the sugar-phosphate backbone. This molecule's directionality is determined by this backbone, which is made up of alternating sugar and phosphate groups.
 • All living things require RNA as a vital component, and the phosphorus (P) it contains cannot be substituted.

Biologists identify four major components in an ecosystem: producers, consumers, decomposers, and the abiotic environment. what
Travka [436]

Flows of nutrients and energy

Flows of nutrients and energy link the producers, consumers, decomposers, and the abiotic environment in an ecosystem. Within an ecosystem, the producers obtain energy from the abiotic environment (sunlight). Consumers get nutrients and energy by feeding on other organisms. Decomposers get nutrients and energy by feeding on dead organisms or organic materials.

Amino acids with hydrophobic r groups are most often found buried in the interior of folded proteins.True or False.
Art [367]

The answer is; True

Since the body is mainly composed of water solutions, molecules in the body need to be hydrophilic to interact positively with the water. For proteins to dissolve well in the body the hydrophilic groups are located on the outside of the folded proteins while the hydrophobic groups are ‘hidden’ in the inside of the protein. If the hydrophobic parts were located in the outside, the proteins would clump up togetehr and interfere with their functions.
