Copernicus discovered that the earth was not the center of the solar system, which people thought it was. It was discovered that earth wasn't flat. Isaac Newton discovered the laws of motion and founded physics. Advancement in medicine and anatomy was also doing better than before. The founding of Americas happened during this time period. Colonization followed the discoveries as well. The Renaissance is the most important part of history.
