DO NOT LISTEN TO THE OTHER PERSON, you can CLEARLY see thats not the right answer. She/He is bluffing.

The true answer:
The shape has 4 faces. Faces means the sides of a 3d figure/the sides are the 2d shapes that form together to form one 3d figure. Btw that figure is a triangular pyramid.

Which is bigger 7/8 or 13/16
salantis [7]
To compare these fractions, bring them to the same denominator. Expand the fractions to bring them to the common denominator (LCM):

7/8 = (2 * 7) / (2 * 8) = 14/16
13/16 = (1 * 13) / (1 * 16) = 13/16

Same denominator fractions sorted ascending:

13/16 < 14/16

Initial fractions in ascending order:

13/16 < 7/8

Answer:

The average number of Tv's sold was higher at store A than at store B

Step-by-step explanation:

You don't have to solve anything. They already gave you the mean/average. They just want to know who sold the most, so in this case you would just see who has the higher number, and see what answer matches.

A friend tells you that he has a cubic equation with exactly three complex roots. Determine which explanation best explains why
Ksju [112]
Complex solutions, namely roots with a √(-1) or "i" in it, never come all by their lonesome, because an EVEN root like the square root, can have two roots that will yield the same radicand.

a good example for that will be √(4), well, (2)(2) is 4, so 2 is a root, but (-2)(-2) is also 4, therefore -2 is also a root, so you'd always get a pair of valid roots from an even root, like 2 or 4 or 6 and so on.

therefore, complex solutions or roots are never by their lonesome, their sister the conjugate is always with them, so if there's a root a + bi, her sister a - bi is also coming along too.

if complex solutions come in pairs, well, clearly a cubic equation can't yield 3 only.
