I'm trying to write a memoir that's based off of times in my life when I was insecure, but I'm stuck on this question I've asked

myself for a while:
So, thalassophobia is the fear of the deep depths of oceans. However, wouldn’t it count as an insecurity since many people get uneasy when they're near a beach or a body of water?
