Do logarithmic functions have horizontal asymptotes?
Marta_Voda [28]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  not generally

Step-by-step explanation:

The basic log function has a vertical asymptote where its argument is zero. It has a positive slope for all positive arguments. It tends to infinity as the argument tends to infinity. There is no horizontal asymptote.

__

A log function can be made part of a larger expression in a way that would give the expression a horizontal asymptote. For example, the function ...

  f(x) = 1/log(x)

has a horizontal asymptote at f(x) = 0. (This asymptote is approached very slowly.)

Hey can someone help me plz I don't know how to this?
MakcuM [25]
So yes the board is wide enough. The are 10 decimeters in a meter.

What it is asking you to do in the example above is multiply 2.5/23.5 by 1.2 both top and bottom aka the numerator and denominator. This makes it easier to view and divide.

I didn't use this method I just looked at it but give it a try for your answer to B

Answer:

The area of a sector GHJ is 36.3\ cm^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

step 1

we know that

The area of a circle is equal to

A=\pi r^{2}

we have

r=8\ cm

substitute

A=\pi (8)^{2}

A=64\pi\ cm^{2}

step 2

Remember that the area of a complete circle subtends a central angle of 360 degrees

so

by proportion find the area of a sector by a central angle of 65 degrees

\frac{64\pi}{360}=\frac{x}{65}\\ \\x=64\pi (65)/360

Use \pi =3.14

x=64(3.14)(65)/360=36.3\ cm^{2}
