The Benin mask is a miniature sculptural portrait and was assumed to be designed for somebody rich because it was made from rare ivory. It is believed to be the portrait of the Queen Mother of India of the Benin Empire during the 16th century.

Movement is a principle of design found in an artwork wherein its usage is to give the sensation of action by creating the look and feel of an action within the artwork. The movement found within the artwork will guide the viewer's eye to see the artwork as a whole and not by its pieces.
Other Principles of Art are Rhythm, Balance, Emphasis, Proportion, Gradation, Harmony, and Variety.
The perspective we see things at will effect the way we view drawings. Like if we look down at something it may look smooth, but as we see from the side it may have a different texture.
