"Self-image" refers to<em> how we see or think about ourselves as we are viewed by the society. </em>This is based on many factors like how a person looks like <em>(appearance)</em>, a person's<em> performance</em> and <em>relationship with other people</em>.
Self-image gives you a picture on what your <em>assets</em> are, as well as your <em>liabilities</em>. Then, you start labeling yourself accordingly. However, this is not true or based on reality all the time. The goal is to have a <u><em>"healthy self-image."</em></u> A person with this kind of image is able to accept his flaws, yet tries his best in every way.
True, you have a lot of control, and many responsibilties should be placed becaused it might not be completely prevented but can reduce the chances by living an active and healthy lifestyle.
