Scientific  Albert Einstien Albert Einstien is an important person because his inventions help us every day. He invented the understanding of light, solar panels, and modern chemistry.

Enlightenment John Locke John Locke is an important person to the Enlightenment because he changed the world in many ways. His political ideas like the ones in the Two Treatises of Government. Such as civil , natural, and property rights and the job of the government to protect the rights, were in the United States Declaration of Independence.  

American  George Washington George Washington is a important american person because he was commander in cheif of the Contienental Army during the American Revolutionary War and served 2 terms as the first U.S president.  

French  Charles De Gaulle  Charles De Gaulle is an important French Person because he led the free french forces in resisting capitulation to Germany during World War II and became the president of France.  

Latin American  Simon Bolivar Simon Bolivar is an important Latin American person because he gave most of South America it's freedom. He is also the most important military strategist in the History of Latin America.

John Locke  1. He graduate from the University of Oxford. 2. He studied medicine and served as a pysician. 3. He was acused of hypocrisy due to the constitutiions of Carolina. 4. He fled from London on two seperate occasions. 5. His major works were written after he was 60 years old.   discoverwalks.com These pieces of information about John Locke makes my argument stronger because it tells me where he graduate and what he studied.  

George Washington  1. He was mostly self educated. 2. He was fearless in battle. 3. His bold actions saved the American Revolution twice. 4. He was unanimously elected president twice. 5. He was the only slave owning president who freed all of his slaves  mountvernon.org  These pieces of information about George Washington make my argument stronger by telling me that he saved the American Revolution twice and that he was fearless in battle.

Charles De Gaulle  1. He was the president of the Fifth Republic. 2. He wrote a military book. 3. He loved the Irish. 4. He was sentenced to death by high treason by the French Government. 5. Simon Bolivar 1. He was extremely wealthy before the wars of independence. 2. He dedicated his wealth to the Independence movements in South America. 3. He ended up being the worst of enemies with his bestfriend. 4. Two countries are named after him. 5. Despite being involved in many battles, he died of natural causes. Discoverwalks.com These pieces of information about Simon Bolivar make my argument stronger because it said that he was wealthy before the wars of independence and that he dedicated his wealth to the independence movements in South America. And it also said that he died of natural causes because of all the battles he had been through and most people thought he had been killed.

<u>2- Victory at Okinawa --- June 22nd, 1945</u>

The Battle of Okinawa took place from April 1 to June 22, 1945 in southern Japan between Japanese and American forces.

The Americans landed on the small Kerama islands near Okinawa on 26 March 1945 and on Okinawa itself on 1 April. The fight was called tetsu no ame, "rain of steel" by the locals. In this battle the world first became acquainted on a large scale with the phenomenon of kamikaze. On June 23, the last Japanese surrendered after very fierce fighting.

<u>3- Destruction of Hiroshima --- August 6th, 1945</u>

On the morning of August 6, 1945, an American B-29 bomber, named Enola Gay after the mother (Enola Gay Haggard) of the crew commander, Colonel Paul Tibbets, dropped the Little Boy atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Hiroshima with the equivalent of 13 to 18 kilotons of TNT. The total death toll ranged from 90 to 166 thousand people.

<u>4- Liberation of Philippines --- August 15th, 1945</u>

The liberation of the Philippines was fought as part of the Pacific front of World War II from October 1944 to mid-August 1945 in the homonymous Asian archipelago; the campaign saw the United States air forces, naval and land forces (supported by contingents from other Allied nations such as Australia and Mexico, as well as by Philippine guerrilla forces) facing the Japanese Empire (supported by the puppet state of these created in the Philippines, the Second Philippine Republic).
