As long as there are no high schoolers there would be 25 middle schoolers. 80-(40+15)=25

System of equations:
w=(3/2)*h          (1)
w*h=54      area (2)

w=54/h substitute into (1)
54/h=3h/2
3h²=54*2
h²= 36  (we take only positive solution)
h = √36=6
h=6 in.
w=(3/2)*h=(3/2)*6= 9
w=9 in.

1 - 4 please help !!!!
dusya [7]

We can use the slope formula for each of these.

\frac{y.2 - y.1}{x.2 - x.1} = m

1. 5 - 1  / 4 - 2

4 / 2

2

The slope is 2, and it is rising because it is positive.

2. -5 - 0 / 3 - (-1)

-5 / 4

The slope is -5/4, and it is falling because it is negative.

3. 1 - 1 / -3 - 2

0 / -5

0

The slope is 0, and it is a horizontal line. The value of y is not changing per value of x.

4. -5 - 2 / -1 - (-1)

-7 / 0

Undefined

The slope is undefined because it fails the vertical line test.

What is the slope of the line that passes through the points (4, 2) and (-16, -10)?
Kamila [148]

Answer:

\frac{3}{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>In order to calculate the slope m between two points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2), we can use the formula below:</em>

<em></em>m=\frac{y^{2-y^{1} } }{x^{2-x^{1} } }<em></em>

<em>So, for points (4, 2) and (-16, -10), we have:</em>

<em></em>m=\frac{-10-2}{16-4} =\frac{-12}{-20} =\frac{3}{5}<em></em>

<em>Therefore, The Answer is </em>\frac{3}{5}<em />
