Firstly, the 2nd Amendment was originally designed for the people to defend themselves against a possible dictatorship where the citizens could possibly overthrow the govt.

Secondly, a democracy shows that the power is held within the people..they elect their officials and such

So, if you put the two together, the second amendment makes the country more democratic because the power is held by the people because they can overthrow the govt with their arms
