Answer: e the American public and many leading Republicans demanded it.

Explanation:

Thanks to yellow journalism twisting the facts of the explosion of the USS Maine at the Cuban capital of Havana in 1898, the American public were overwhelmingly in favor of going to war against the Spanish who tried their best to avoid this because they knew they would suffer defeat.

The efforts of the Spanish were fruitless however because many leading Republicans sided with their constituents and called for war in both House of Congress. President William McKinley then bowed to this pressure and asked for a declaration of war.

How did Luther’s ideas lead to break with the church and to a new faith
wlad13 [49]

Luther's ideas lead him to break with the church and to a new faith. Martin Luther did not agree with some of the practices and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, for example, he rejected "indulgence", which was a practice used by the Roman Catholic Church to reduce the punishment one was supposed to undergo for sins. He wrote his Ninety five Theses of 1517, where he discussed this practice. Pope Leo X asked him to renounce to all of his writings but he refused, he was excommunicated by the Pope and condemned by the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V. Luther believed that the only source of divine knowledge from God is the Bible, he thought that the bible should be translated from Latin vernacular languages so that it could be understood by everybody. He translated the Bible to German. All of his ideas were rejected and prohibited by the church. His beliefs led him to break with the church and start what he called the Christian or Evangelical faith, now called Lutheranism.

What impact did President Buchanan have on southern secession?
vichka [17]
Buchanan believed that slavery was wrong while also claiming that states did not have the right of succession. As the North and South adamantly debated whether slavery was illegal and immoral or legal and ethical, Buchanan admitted that there were certain grievenances that would make the succession justified, but then he condemed the act of slavery, saying that it was unconstitutional adn that the Founder Fathers never intended to endow any group of people with the right to enslave another group of people. But in a surprising turn, he said that if the succession was renamed to be called a revolution, then it would be acceptable because then, it would fail to call for the enforcement of a constituional right, and it also seperated the government from the requirement of giving the succession recognition. So in effect, Buchannan hindered the succession by declaring the right to a secession to be null and void, but failed to denouce slavery because he also defended the excuses that the sourtherns were using to threaten the secession in the first place. The postition he took angered both the people of the North and South. In the end, the Battle of Fort Sumter commenced and the South excercised their right to sucession after all.

Ilia_Sergeevich [38]

Answer:

B. Five million women joined the workforce in World War II.

Explanation:

During the World War 2, while many abled men were drafted in the United States Army, it opened up working spaces for women. The poster which was widely referred to as "Rosie the Riveter" was an attempt to call women to enter workforce during the war.

However, given that Five million women joined the workforce in World War II. The poster misrepresents the idea that women only worked in the industrial sectors such as welders and riveters during World War II. While the truth is that the majority of working women also worked in non-factory positions in every sector of the economy.

Hence, the right answer is option B. Five million women joined the workforce in World War II.
